About the Role:

We’re building a next-generation Real World Assets (RWA) DeFi protocol that brings institutional-grade assets on-chain—securely, compliantly, and at scale. You’ll be the technical owner of the protocol, leading a team of ~5 engineers across smart contracts, backend infrastructure, and integrations. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will architect, code, review, and ship. If you enjoy designing systems where capital, risk, and code collide, this role is for you.

What You Can Expect To Work On:

Technical Leadership

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture of the RWA protocol across on-chain and off-chain systems

• Lead, mentor, and unblock a small, high-impact team (~5 engineers)

• Set and uphold engineering standards for code quality, security, testing, and documentation

• Make pragmatic build vs. buy decisions across protocols, infrastructure, and vendors

Protocol & Smart Contracts

• Design and implement production-grade smart contracts for:

• Tokenized real-world assets (e.g. private credit, receivables, loans)

• Capital deployment, redemptions, and yield distribution

• Risk controls, liquidation logic, and circuit breakers

• Ensure contracts are audit-ready, secure, and battle-tested

• Work closely with auditors before mainnet deployments

Backend & Infrastructure

• Architect off-chain systems supporting:

• Asset lifecycle management

• Oracle ingestion and verification

• Compliance, reporting, and risk monitoring

• Integrate with wallets, custodians, stablecoins, and on-chain liquidity venues

• Design for reliability, observability, and graceful failure

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner directly with founders on product direction and technical roadmap

• Translate legal and compliance constraints into robust, enforceable code

• Collaborate with product and design to deliver developer- and user-friendly flows

What You Need to Succeed:

• 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in crypto / DeFi

• Strong hands-on experience with Solidity (or equivalent EVM languages)

• Deep understanding of:

• DeFi primitives (lending, AMMs, liquidations, yield mechanics)

• Smart contract security patterns and common exploits

• Proven experience leading engineers and shipping complex systems

• Comfort operating in ambiguity—this is a build-from-zero role

Nice-to-Have (Strong Plus)

• Experience with RWA, TradFi, or fintech systems (credit, payments, custody)

• Familiarity with:

• Oracles (e.g. Chainlink-style architectures

• Account abstraction, permissioned DeFi, or compliance-aware protocols

• Experience running or participating in protocol audits

• Background in system design for high-value financial infrastructure

Tech Stack (Indicative)

• Smart Contracts: Solidity, Foundry / Hardhat

• Backend: TypeScript / Node.js, Python (where relevant)

• Infra: Cloud-native (AWS/GCP), containers, CI/CD

• Data & Oracles: On-chain + off-chain data pipelines

• Security: Formal audits, monitoring, alerting
